The Orpheum Theater was built in 1948.  It has undergone several renovations and ownerships throughout the years.  As many of you Marshalltownians remember, it was closed for several years. However, in partnership with Iowa Valley Continuing Education and donations from both individuals, and private & cooperate investors the theater was able to re-open its doors and has been able to maintain operation.  It is ONLY through YOUR support that this historic landmark in Marshall County is able to continue to provide entertainment for all.  The Orpheum offers a Historic Lobby, Movie House & Concessions, a Black Box for live performances, a Gallery displaying local art, Coffee Shop, Conference Rooms, and an Amphitheater & Patio for outdoor entertainment. Please continue to show your support by attending the "18 Men Who Cook" Orpheum Theater Fundraiser, held Saturday April 29th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Tickets are still on sale and selling fast! For more information, contact Fauna at 641-751-2748.
